The McGill Bermuda Scholarship Trust provides for the Dudley & Deborah Butterfield Scholarship and the McGill Bermuda Scholarship to be offered in alternate years. The annual Scholarship is available to students in Bermuda to study at McGill University in a degree program.
The Dudley & Deborah Butterfield Scholarship was established in Bermuda in 1988 as a result of a generous donation from Mr Dudley and Mrs Deborah Butterfield, together with the collective contributions of McGill graduates in Bermuda.
Bethany Cooze
Bermuda High School student Bethany Cooze has been awarded the McGill Bermuda Scholarship 2024.
The first Scholarship was awarded in 1991.
Applicants should first apply to McGill University for admission to a faculty or program of their choice. The Trustees seek a scholar of all-round ability who is likely to make a balanced contribution to the community in the future.
McGill University has a long tradition and association with Bermuda and Bermudians. The Trustees encourage all suitably qualified students in Bermuda to consider McGill University for degree programs and, subject to acceptance, to apply for a Dudley & Deborah Butterfield Scholarship or McGill Bermuda Scholarship.
