HENDERSON, Gillian M A

The Dudley & Deborah Butterfield Scholarship

Gillian attended Bermuda High School and attained eight grade A's in her GCSE/IGCSE examinations. In June, 2001, she graduated from the Saltus Graduate Year programme with distinction.

Throughout her education in Bermuda, Gillian has been interested in music and participated in the orchestras at Bermuda High School, Saltus Grammar School and the Menuhin Foundation. She also has a keen interest in her community and has participated and assisted in many volunteer organizations around Bermuda.

Gillian enjoys the arts and has performed in a number plays and theatrical performances in Bermuda. In summer of 2001, Gillian completed her Duke of Edinburgh gold award with a 50 mile trek across Dominica.

Gillian’s ultimate career objective is to practice medicine. She entered McGill University in September, 2001 where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree.
