ELLISON, Hannah

The McGill Bermuda Scholarship

 

Hannah attended Bermuda High School between 1992 to 1997 where she gained seven grade A's of her nine passes in the GCSE/IGCSE examinations. She then proceeded to the graduate year programme at Saltus Grammar School in 1997 where she graduated second in her year in 1998.

Whilst at Bermuda High School, Hannah was a Prefect, the School's Games Captain and a House Captain. Hannah has a special interest in the arts, particularly music and singing. Drama also became a hobby when Hannah landed the leading female role in the Saltus Grammar School production of "Bugsy Malone". In addition, Hannah enjoyed working towards her bronze and silver awards in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and participating as a member of the Young Enterprise Scheme and Young Leo Club.

Sporting activities play an important role for Hannah. She has represented her school at the inter-school level in many sports including netball, hockey, volleyball, cross-country and track and field. In particular, Hannah was a team member of Bermuda's under 21 Women's Senior National Team having represented Bermuda in both Barbados and Venezuela.

Hannah's future career goal is to practice medicine. She entered McGill University in September, 1998 where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree.
