DE SILVA, Sandy A

The Dudley & Deborah Butterfield Scholarship

Sandy graduated from Warwick Academy in 1994 attaining First Honours.  In 1995, she attended Saltus Grammar School with the aid of a scholarship for her post graduate year during which she obtained first position in the program.  In addition to English, Sandy speaks French and Portuguese.

Sandy has taken an active interest in community life and has held a number of leadership roles.  She was awarded the Teen Award for Leadership in 1994 and held the position of Head Girl at Warwick and Deputy Head Girl at Saltus.  Sandy has also had a keen involvement in sports and appeared in the Mid Ocean News for winning a scholar athlete award.  She particularly enjoys field hockey, volleyball, swimming and running.

Sandy entered McGill University in September, 1995 to pursue a Bachelor Of Art degree, particularly psychology and sociology
